Preface

This is to be commemorated: these "Les Gouttes de Dieu" have not usurped their title as heroes and the readers are confronted to the top of the top and visit areas that are outstanding where the bottles are to be created. The Chateau d'Yquem 1990, Château Mouton Rothschild 1982 and also 1999 Richebourg from Méo-Camuzet, just to name a few from among over 1000 wine bottles…
The coming together of fiction and reality! For fiction, the fabric of the story, for reality, wine, grapes, the wine, the wine growers. During his wanderings, the hero lets himself be seduced by the wine, he discovered the grapes, soil, the art of winemaking. The reader too explores the great vineyards of the world, they also learn about the best wines and they try tasting wine.
In the twentieth century, many books of initiation to wines explained oenology very seriously. Learning came before pleasure and what is wine without pleasure? In the same spirit, Claude Debussy said "music can not be taught: pleasure is the rule".
